Black and Gold Dot Dress

Happy Halloween, everyone! I wanted to give a nod to the holiday but without getting too spooky, so I've created this black and gold outfit inspired in part by some of the glam black, gold, and patterned pumpkin art I've been seeing on Pinterest.

As you can see, this pattern certainly doesn't outwardly scream "Halloween", but instead reads to me as rather eye-catching elegance. In fact, I've had my eye on this dress for the upcoming winter holidays and wanted to feature it as we get into that celebratory season. The golden dots just seem festive and makes it the perfect little dress for late fall and early winter weddings and parties.

As you know, I'm a sucker for polka dot dresses, and this one was too pretty to pass up - especially with that little peplum detail. It could work for a guest, a bridesmaid, or even a mother of the bride who wants to add a little pattern to her attire. I stuck with a monochromatic black and gold paring, but I can see this little dress looking great with a pop or bright red or cranberry.

Just last night as I was finishing this board, I came across this post by The Bridal Detective on how to use polka dots in your wedding - there's such great inspiration there. If you're inclined to include dots on your big day, I think this little dotted dress would be a great option!
