Short Pink Mother of the Bride Dress

I've recently had a few more requests for mother of the bride dresses, specifically, short mother of the bride dresses like this one. While I love the look of a full-length gown, I think short, cocktail style dresses are equally perfect choices for the mother of the bride or groom. They are especially well-suited for morning or daytime weddings - although they can easily work for evening weddings, too!

Last week I pinned several tailored mother of the bride dresses for a mother of the bride who needed a casual yet elegant dress for an informal daytime wedding. (See them all here.) This dress is slightly more of a cocktail style, especially with the lace and ruffles. However, I think it's also fine to wear colored lace like this to a daytime wedding -- I'd just steer clear of black lace for daytime.

I've accessorized this dress with some variations of its rose color -- a lighter pink clutch, and deep rose gold and berry accessories keeps this look in the same color family, but gives it a a few different tones and a little interest.

This dress will certainly work for wedding guest dress too, but I'm trying to focus a bit more on mothers this month! For the mother of the bride or mother of the groom, I see this as a perfect choice for a spring afternoon wedding, but it will work for fall and early summer too!
