Purple and Pink Bridesmaid Dress Look

Picking the colors for your wedding can be one of the most fun parts of the wedding, but also really gets the theme set in stone. Some brides pick their favorite color, or pick an invitation, a dress, or some other element first, and slowly a theme starts to develop.

I think just looking at pictures of flower arrangements like this one is a great place to start because it seems like interesting color combinations seem to just happen naturally. I wouldn’t necessarily think of myself as a lover of pink and purple together (sounds scarily like one of my 5th grade leggings-with-a-sweatshirt outfits gone wrong), but put together the way it is in this arrangement, with deeper tones and a little green peeking through, it looks modern and just plain beautiful. I think a bouquet of similar flowers would look great against this royal blue /purpley shade for a bridesmaid dress.

The bridesmaid dress I’ve shown is by Monique Lhuillier, one of the most sought-after bridal dress designers, and so it seems really wonderful that she has now created a bridemaid line so that bridesmaids can have the fun of wearing her gorgeous designs. If you’re leaning towards a pink and purple color scheme to your wedding, here’s one idea of how to put it together in a modern way.
