Not everyone wants to wear a platform or stiletto heel for their wedding. After all, you'll be on your feet for hours during the ceremony and reception, and on the move for dancing, so it only makes sense to have a comfortable but chic wedding shoe.
Low Kitten Heel Wedding Shoes for Brides
Kitten heels are extremely popular weddin shoes right now, and they are one of the sweetest shoe silhouettes that give a bit of a retro, Audrey Hepburn look.

A true kitten heel, however, can be a little hard to walk in, especially in a mule style. The heels are so small that you can sometimes catch the edge of the sole, and because they are tiny and pointed, getting a stable point of contact can be tricky. The look also elongates the foot and shortens the leg length. However, the payoff is that a kitten heel can be a great style with a mini or midi dress, and it looks so good with retro tea-length style wedding dresses with a sweeping skirt.
Chunky Low Block Heel Wedding Shoes
While we love the dainty look of a kitten heel, we think a chunky low block heel under 2 inches is one of the best ways to combine comfort, stability, and style in a wedding shoe you can wear all night.

While some brides change into flats or even sneakers for dancing, if you wear super-high heels for your main wedding look and don't change your dress, the hemline might drag on the floor all night.
If comfort is a concern, we recommend a block heel or wedge, which also won't sink into grass and will stay stable on uneven surfaces while still keeping the height and elegance of a heel.
More Low-Heeled Shoes
If you're considering a low block-heel sandal for your wedding or a kitten heel, we've put together a shopping guide with some of our favorite ideas for these little-heel looks.
This low heel wedding shoe style can also be a top choice for bridesmaids, wedding guests, or mothers of the bride, since they too will be on their feet all day and dancing. We've tried to stick to bridal styles and colors- metallic, ivory, white, and cream- for this shopping guide, but we'll follow up with low-heeled finds for the mother of the bride, guests, and bridesmaids.
More Places to Find Comfortable Wedding Shoes
For my own wedding, I wore this wedge heel, and I loved that it looked elegant from the front, gave me height so I wouldn't trip on my dress, and let me dance comfortably without sinking into the grass with every step.
