Wedding Guest Outfit for an Outdoor Wedding

July is just around the corner, and I'm making good on my promise to share even more summer wedding guest outfits and ideas. Here's What to Wear to an Outdoor July Wedding!

It probably goes without saying that outdoor weddings are very popular in the summer months here on the East Coast, and are popular during any season anywhere with a warm climate. The beautiful temperatures, sunny bright days, and festive feel of the season make it highly likely that if you're attending a wedding during this month, either the ceremony or reception or often -- both-- will be held outside. Whether it's at the beach, at a winery, or at an estate, for any sort of outdoor occasion, you'll need an outfit that is comfortable to wear out in the sun without wilting, and elegant and elevated enough for wedding attire.

Peach Wedding Guest Dress

This dress, the Stellar Drape Dress by Shona Joy from Revolve is our winner in both regards! It features an elegant draped style hemline, pretty spaghetti straps, and a tailored bodice. I love its delicious peach color (it also comes in sky blue, gray, and black). It's the ideal mix of a beautiful dress that is sure to get the thumbs up from your date and has the sort of effortless elegance that summer wedding dressing requires.

For this look, I've chosen oversize earrings by Kendra Scott , and a long pave necklace ( it was hard to show in the collage - but you can see it here ) with a beaded bracelet and a great cut-out clutch. For shoes, I can seem to get away from a nude strappy pump, but it could also be a good time to try out a block heel like the Carson sandal, since it won't stick in the grass. The other alternative, which I personally use, is to put on a pair of Solemates 'High Heeler' protectors - the clear ones blend into your shoe, keep your heels from sinking in the grass or gravel driveways and getting stained, and are easy to take off and slip in your purse when your ground is more stable.

This look is all set for beach formal or outdoor summer receptions in any setting and any time of day.
