Floral Bridal Shower Dress

Spring showers bring May flowers — and spring bridal showers also present the need for a dress! Here’s look number two of our three part series on floral dresses originally posted on LiveEventfully’s event planning site.  I’ve selected this one for a bridal shower dress. I love the dainty flowers and the pleats. It’s ladylike and then some!

I consider this the ideal dress for a bride to wear to her shower or to her rehearsal dinner because it’s white, but also has a pretty blooms of color to add interest. ( By the way, I have some thoughts about wearing all white to all your bridal events as the bride–but more about that in a later post!)

Back to this stunning dress before us–I’m not recommending it for a wedding guest because I’m too fearful of the “never wear white” rule,  although usually an allover print with a white background is fine. It’s just that this has so much white,  and it’s so special… I think it might be best to not to risk it.

I’ve styled it for a bridal shower, with little garden-y touches in the lattice hot pink shoes, the pretty floral pink and green earrings from Julie Elizabeth Jewelry, and that floral clutch. I can see that clutch doing double duty: worn first with this outfit, and for the bride to use on her wedding day as well. What do you think? Does it say springtime bridal shower to you?

Want to see dress number one of our floral series? It’s this pretty floral blue and pink dress.
