Here at Dress for the Wedding we pride ourselves on trying to find wedding-appropriate clothing, so you don't hear us often use the word 'denim' in the same sentence as "suitable wedding attire". However, today's post is a delightful departure from the usual, buttoned-up wedding style we show. It's all about denim jackets for weddings, and where to find them!

There's a fall chill in the air, so we just updated some of our posts with the traditional white or ivory bridal cover-ups and winter wedding shawls, when we started thinking about this fun trend! Not only does it provide a little extra warmth for a fall or winter wedding, a denim jacket certainly adds personality to one whole wedding look! Not only does a denim bridal jacket make for great photos, but it's also something you can easily wear after the wedding!

While we found a few jackets at Show Me Your Mumu, one at Nordstrom, and several at David's Bridal,  the creative shops on Etsy definitely have the biggest selection. You can choose from a personalized jacket with your married name, floral motifs,  "Wifey" denim jackets for weddings, or just choose to customize your own jacket with a transfer.
