Cute Green Bridesmaid Dress
Happy (almost) St. Patrick's Day! Sorry for the lapse and late posts, but it's been a week full of activity - and mostly fun things that I'll be able to share with you soon! Be sure to stop by next on the 18th for some fun, and you'll also want to follow this Pinterest board (especially if you're a fan of --or in need of-- bridal shoes! ) because I'll be adding some more beauties there soon as a part of a fun upcoming project!
St. Patrick's Day is one of those holidays that I don't necessarily look forward as much as I do with some others, but once the day is here, I get into the spirit by wearing green and perhaps having a celebratory beverage. ( I had a yummy cocktail made with Guinness and Frangelico recently at the Federal House in Annapolis that I'd highly recommend, here's the recipe!)
For a person who loves Ireland, Boston, U2, and has an Irish maiden name and surname, had the Dropkick Murphys "Shipping up to Boston" played as one wedding reception entrance song, ( "Magnificent" by U2 was the other), and loves the color green, I'm more low-key than you'd expect when it comes to this holiday ( in fact, listening to those songs again might be the extent of my celebrating !) In any event, I love pretty Kelly green dresses, and the neckline of this style is so cute that I had to make it my pick not only for today, but also for a pretty preppy green bridesmaid dress for any time of year. Since it is my little tribute to this holiday, I had to put in a little gold and white with the green. For maximum preppy appeal, you could put pink, navy or yellow with it.
I hope I erred on the side of being classic and not costume-y with this one.Wishing you all a great weekend, the luck of the Irish, and a very Happy St. Patrick's Day!
